Terms of Service
Last updated: 2026-04-17
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of galatacpa.com, the website of Galata CPA (trading name of Globalist Accounting Office), an independent CPA firm based in Istanbul, Turkey. They are separate from, and do not replace, any engagement letter we may sign with you. If you do not agree with these Terms, please do not use the website.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing galatacpa.com you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and by our Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.
We may update these Terms at our reasonable discretion. The revised version takes effect when posted on this page, with the new "Last updated" date shown above. Continued use after posting constitutes acceptance.
If you use the site on behalf of a company or other legal entity, you confirm that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.
2. Services Described on the Site
Galata CPA provides professional accounting, tax, payroll, advisory, and related services, within the scope permitted to a Sworn Certified Public Accountant (SMMM) authorised to practise in Turkey by Law No. 3568 and the rules of the Union of Chambers of Certified Public Accountants of Turkey (TÜRMOB).
Details of the services we offer are listed on our Services pages. The "Scope & Declines" page describes work we do not accept (for example statutory audit under the SMMM regime, cross-border legal advice, or investment advice).
Nothing on this website constitutes an offer to provide services to any specific person or company. A binding relationship arises only when we sign an individual engagement letter covering scope, fees, and deliverables.
3. Engagement and Fees
All professional engagements are governed by a separate engagement letter ("Letter") detailing scope, deliverables, timelines, fees, subcontracting, and termination. In case of conflict between these Terms and the Letter, the Letter prevails.
Indicative pricing or package names on the site are provided for information only; binding fees are set in the Letter, in Turkish Lira (TRY) unless otherwise agreed.
Professional work begins after (a) the Letter is signed by both sides, (b) our client-onboarding and anti-money-laundering checks are completed, and (c) the agreed initial payment (if any) has been received.
4. Intellectual Property
All content on galatacpa.com — including text, articles, graphics, logos, trade marks, the "Galata CPA" name, source code, and layout — is owned by Globalist Accounting Office or used under licence, and is protected by Turkish and international copyright and trade mark law.
You may view, download, and print pages for personal or non-commercial internal business use, provided you do not remove any copyright or other proprietary notice. Any republication, commercial use, scraping, or automated extraction requires our prior written permission.
Materials that you provide to us in the course of an engagement (for example business records, invoices, or identification) remain your property. We process them as processor or joint controller as specified in the engagement letter and Privacy Policy, and we do not acquire ownership of your data.
5. Disclaimers
The website and its content are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We take reasonable care to keep information accurate and up to date, but we do not warrant completeness, timeliness, or suitability for your specific situation.
No content on galatacpa.com constitutes legal, tax, accounting, or investment advice on which you may rely. It is general information only, for prospective and current clients, and does not create a professional relationship. Advice specific to your circumstances is provided only under a signed engagement letter and is subject to Turkish tax and professional rules.
The site may link to third-party websites. We have no control over those sites and accept no responsibility for their content, policies, or practices.
Nothing on this website establishes a client relationship. Sending us an enquiry or an email does not by itself create one.
6. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by Turkish law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of, or inability to use, this website — including loss of profit, goodwill, data, or business opportunity.
Where an engagement letter is in force, our aggregate liability under that engagement, whether in contract, tort, or otherwise, is limited to an amount equal to the fees actually paid by you to us under that engagement during the twelve (12) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits or excludes liability that cannot be limited or excluded under applicable Turkish law, such as liability for gross negligence, wilful misconduct, or for damages to life or bodily integrity.
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms, and any non-contractual obligations arising out of or in connection with them, are governed by the laws of the Republic of Turkey, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
The Istanbul Çağlayan Courts and Enforcement Offices have exclusive jurisdiction over any dispute arising out of or in connection with these Terms or the website, subject to mandatory consumer-protection rules that may grant you additional rights in your country of residence.
If any provision of these Terms is held invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full force and effect.
For any question about these Terms, please contact us at info@galatacpa.com.
